Pied Bushchat is a small (slightly smaller than the Siberian Stonechat) passerine bird found ranging from West Asia and Central Asia to the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. It is a small black bird having a white rump, wing patch and lower belly. Similar to other chats, it was earlier classified in the Thrush family called Turdidae, but is now considered and classified as Old World Flycatchers.
