Crested Lark

As its name suggests, the Crested Lark has a prominent crest on its head and is also larger in size when compared to other larks. The Crested Lark is generally a common resident in Gujarat, yet rare to find in some areas. The overall plumage is mainly brown with light brown outer feathers and dark streaks. Male and females are almost similar in plumage but males are usually larger and may have brighter, more distinct colour and marking than females.
