Malabar Trogon

Malabar Trogon is a very beautiful bird from trogon family. It is endemic to the forests of Sri Lanka and India and mainly found in the mountain range of Western Ghats. These birds are very shy in nature which makes them very difficult to photograph. They have the habit of flying away at the slightest of human activity. They also have the names of Indian Trogon, Ceylon Trogon and Striped Trogon. They are so brightly coloured that sounds of the wing beats makes them visible in the thickest of forest.
